Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. is seeking a diligent Kitchen Assistant for Elstree View Care Home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You will assist in food preparation, keep kitchens clean, and uphold high hygiene standards to ensure safe meals for residents.

The role requires holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and knowledge of health and safety practices. You will work as part of a caring team, supporting residents with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker, capable of withstanding a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a positive, flexible approach to teamwork.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsabilités

• Support the catering function by assisting in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of meals and beverages.
• Uphold high hygiene standards and safe food handling principles.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and respond positively to instructions.
• Assist with ordering of goods to ensure timely supply and quality.
