Avery Healthcare Group Ltd. is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for Elstree View Care Home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You will support the catering function, assist with food preparation, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Moving & Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be efficient, capable of sustaining physical effort and handling a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a caring attitude towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Support catering function, food preparation, and maintain a clean kitchen for safe production of meals.
• Understand and apply safe food handling principles to ensure hygiene standards.
• Assist with supply and quality of items and timely ordering of replacements.
• Respect the dignity and individuality of residents and contribute to a team environment.
