Job summary

Wood Care Group in Huddersfield is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support residents with nutritious meals and caring service in a busy kitchen. You will help with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining high hygiene standards in line with policy.

We value reliability, kindness and clear communication. Experience in care home or kitchen environments is helpful but not essential; full training is provided and shifts are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Past experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
• A committed and organised approach.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings.
• Maintain personal and professional development to meet changing needs of the home and participate in appropriate training.
• Safeguarding awareness and reporting responsibilities to protect adults in care.
• Complete training as determined by the home.
