Job summary

Greenholme House Care Home in Burley in Wharfedale is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join our award-winning team. You will help maintain cleanliness and laundry to high hotel-service standards, supporting residents and colleagues with a respectful and compassionate approach.

You will work as part of a close-knit team, follow our SOPs, and show flexibility to cover shifts as needed. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required; DBS cost is borne by Avery Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, moving and handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.
