Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join the Aire View Care Home in Leeds. You will ensure cleanliness and laundry standards, operating to our housekeeping SOPs and hotel service standards.

You will work as part of a team to support residents with dignity and respect, upholding our values and providing a caring, supportive environment with opportunities to grow within the role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
