Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay, Kent. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry, following our SOPs to deliver hotel-style service for residents.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Health and Safety, experience cleaning laundry in public settings, and a compassionate approach that respects residents’ dignity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.
