Job summary

Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay, Kent is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join Avery Healthcare Group. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry, ensuring a welcoming, safe environment for residents.

You will follow our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, demonstrate compassion and respect in daily care, and be flexible to cover a range of duties. DBS disclosure checked and right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping.
Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

Carry out all cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions.
Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials.
Ensure that residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space is always respected.
Operate housekeeping and laundry procedures according to standard operating procedures.
