Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay, Kent is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join a small, caring team. You will help maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the home, following SOPs and hotel-service quality expectations.

We value compassion, reliability, and a flexible approach to cover various duties. A DBS check will be completed, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, ensuring areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their personal space and belongings are respected.
