Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Elvy Court Care Home in Sittingbourne, Kent. You’ll join a supportive team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry for residents, within a caring, patient-focused environment.

DBS check will be completed by Avery, and you must have eligibility to work in the UK. We value care, respect and professionalism, offering a friendly, people-centred working environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
