Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for Bourn View Care Home in Bournville, Birmingham. You will join a warm, supportive team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards and ensure hotel-service levels throughout the home.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety, experience in cleaning laundry, and a compassionate, adaptable approach to residents. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.
