Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant (Bank) at Avonmere Care Home in Bristol. You will join a team focused on maintaining cleanliness and laundry standards to create a comfortable living environment for residents.

You will operate within our SOPs, ensuring hotel-service standards are upheld while respecting residents’ dignity and privacy. DBS clearance and UK work eligibility are required. The role offers flexible shifts within a caring, supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.
