Job summary

The Home-based Personal Assistant role in Chesterfield supports day-to-day living for an autistic individual with additional needs. The role is 14-16 hours per week, mainly in the home, assisting with cleaning, cooking, grooming, medication support and community activities while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

You will join a well-established team of P.As, be reliable and punctual, and use your initiative to adapt to changing needs. DBS checks are required and holidays accrue pro-rata.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support in the home (cleaning, laundry, meals, personal care).
• Assist with medication and promote a safe, comfortable living environment.
• Support attendance at appointments, activities and community engagement.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality; notice and respond to basic care needs.
• Help with moving/arranging items and promoting independence.
