Job summary

Encompassborders in Jedburgh is seeking Personal Assistants to support morning personal care and household tasks, helping the client stay independent and safe at home.

Hours: 14 per week, days and times to be discussed. Rate: £14.05 per hour. PVG check and references required; probationary period 6 months; paid annual leave 5.6 weeks pro rata.

Experience not essential; the role requires kindness, reliability, and a respectful, private home approach to care.

Qualifications

• Experience is not essential but suitable personal attributes are important.
• Ability to support safety and well-being during breathless episodes.
• Capable of helping with household chores and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Support client to ensure safety and well-being during breathless episodes.
• Assist with household chores and tasks to keep the home tidy.
• Provide personal care support including shower assistance as needed.
• Develop a positive relationship and work as part of a team.
