Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Care Assistant / Support Worker to provide in-home care across Crawley and nearby areas. You will help service users live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes while following care plans and safeguarding guidelines.

Applicants should have domiciliary care experience, medication handling skills, and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. Multiple contracts are available including full-time, part-time and bank staff roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in domiciliary care.
• Medication handling experience.

• Good comprehension of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Providing Personal Support: assist service users with day-to-day care needs.
• Supporting Independence: help service users remain safe and independent at home.
• Offering Companionship: provide friendly, reassuring support.
• Preparing Meals: assist with meal prep and diet.
• Following Care Plans: deliver care in line with plans and procedures.
• Handling Medication Safely: support medication handling as per plan.
• Noticing Changes: report changes in a service user's condition.
• Maintaining Records: complete visit notes and report concerns.
• Working Safely: follow safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
• Building Relationships: communicate warmly with service users and families.
• Travelling Between Visits: travel to service users across areas.
