Job summary

OurCoop is seeking a compassionate funeral care assistant to be the first point of contact for families at bereavement scenes. You will care for the deceased with dignity and present them respectfully, while supporting colleagues in a close-knit funeral team.

You will also join the standby/on-call rota and comply with a DBS check for new joiners from December 2023. Full UK driving licence required for shifts across our fleet.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide care with dignity and respect to the deceased and families.
• Comfort with physically lifting and transferring the deceased when required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a funeral care team.

Responsibilities

• Attend the scene of bereavement and be the families’ first point of contact.
• Care for the preparation and presentation of the deceased with compassion.
• Participate in standby and on-call rota as part of duties.
