Job summary

OurCoop is recruiting for a funeralcare assistant to support families at a time of bereavement. You will be the first point of contact, delivering compassionate care and handling the preparation and presentation of the deceased with dignity and respect.

You will work as part of a funeral team, participate in Standby and On-Call rota, and must be prepared to undergo a DBS check from 1 December 2023. A full UK manual driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Compassion and empathy in difficult bereavement contexts.
• Ability to lift and transfer the deceased with care.
• Full UK Manual driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Care for the deceased with dignity and respect during preparation and presentation.
• Be the family’s first point of contact at the scene of bereavement.
• Work as part of a funeral team delivering compassionate, professional service.
• Participate in Standby and On-Call rota as required.
