Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member for Silvermere Care Home in Surrey. You will support dining service and assist residents with meals, helping create a welcoming dining experience.

The role involves helping residents choose meals, ensuring tables are set to SOPs, keeping front of house clean, replenishing cakes, finger foods and fruit, and accommodating dietary requirements. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.
• Experience of working in a similar setting (restaurant or hotel) would be desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of residents’ dietary requirements.
