Job summary

Dignity Group is seeking a Service Delivery Lead in Greater Manchester to oversee the end-to-end care journey of the deceased with dignity and professionalism. You will lead a dedicated team, coordinate logistics, and ensure seamless, respectful operations across the care centre and funeral process.

The role requires compassionate leadership, experience in operational planning, and the ability to manage priorities in a sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in resource planning, fleet management, or similar operational roles is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence required (Essential).
• Willing to work weekends and on-call duties as required.
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to deliver compassionate, dignified service in sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe and respectful transfer of the deceased into care.
• Oversee care centre operations, including preparation and dressing as requested.
• Facilitate movement to the chapel of rest for viewing upon family request.
• Lead ceremonial duties on funeral day with careful handling of the deceased.
• Manage the care centre, optimise team organisation and scheduling to reduce costs.
• Inspire and mentor the team to maintain high service standards.
