Job summary

Maria Mallaband is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our care team. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for service users and staff, while working within a supportive care setting.

A 12‑week probationary period may apply for access to certain benefits, with opportunities for apprenticeships. Applicants should be able to manage pressures, prioritise tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or care environments preferred.
• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks.
• Good communication at all levels, including with service users.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
• Keep Home furniture, furnishings and fittings clean.
• Clean all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings.
• Clean carpets when necessary.
• Empty wastebaskets and bins daily and dispose of waste safely.
• Clean internal windows monthly.
• Clean bedrooms weekly and communal areas daily.
• Clean sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets daily.
• Store chemicals in line with COSHH requirements.
• Restock paper products and dispensers.
