Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our care team. You will help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff, supporting daily household and hygiene tasks within the home.

The role requires reliability, compassion and the ability to work well in a team, with potential apprenticeship opportunities available. Applicants must be able to work in the UK and live within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• Have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Genuine interest in working in a social care environment.
• Demonstrate care and compassion.
• Team player and able to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
• Ensure the Home’s furniture, furnishings and fittings are clean and well maintained.
• Clean all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings to a high standard.
• Clean bedrooms and communal areas on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure bathrooms, sinks and toilets are cleaned daily and safely.
• Store chemicals in line with COSHH requirements.
