Job summary

Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our care team. You will help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff, while supporting daily operations in a compassionate, team-oriented setting.

The role requires a responsible approach to hygiene and safety, with responsibilities including daily cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and stock replenishment. Apprenticeships may be available as part of development within the company.

Qualifications

• Have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Demonstrate care and compassion.
• Team player with the ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Company Mission Statement at all times.
• Ensure the Home's furniture, furnishings and fittings are sufficiently clean.
• Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings are sufficiently clean.
• Clean carpets when necessary.
• Empty wastebaskets and bins daily ensuring waste is disposed of safely in line with requirements.
• Clean internal windows monthly.
• Clean all bedrooms thoroughly once a week on a rota basis; communal areas daily.
• Ensure sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets are cleaned daily.
• Chemicals stored in line with COSHH requirements.
• Re-stock paper products and dispensers.
