Job summary

MHA at Torrwood care home in Wells is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home for residents. You will support wellbeing and infection prevention while respecting privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities include cleaning residents' rooms and communal areas, following schedules, using COSHH-compliant equipment, and reporting faults. A flexible 7-day rota and DBS checks are part of the role, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms, bathrooms, offices and communal areas.
• Carry out cleaning tasks according to schedules, including carpet cleaning when required.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and personal space at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store materials per COSHH rules.
• Report faults, hazards or damage to a senior colleague promptly.
• Attend training, staff meetings, supervision and appraisals as required.
• Follow MHA policies on health & safety, infection prevention and safeguarding.
