Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is hiring a Day Care Worker in Rutherglen, Glasgow area. The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, with a salary of £29,612–£29,979 per year.

You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support individuals to achieve personal outcomes within health and safety guidelines. You will work closely with service users, families and professionals, documenting care, and ensuring inclusive, dignified support.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or healthcare teams.
• Able to support personal care and mobility where required.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal; competent IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, review and support care plans to ensure high standards of care.
• Deliver direct care including mobility and personal care assistance.
• Facilitate activities and provide individualised support and passenger assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of care and support.
• Collaborate with families, social workers and external organisations.
