Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a compassionate Day Care Worker to deliver high-quality, outcome-focused care to individuals within our services at Lifestyles, East Kilbride. This permanent role is 37 hours per week with a salary of £29,612–£29,979 per year.

You will work with service users, families and professionals to support health, safety and wellbeing within statutory and council frameworks, contributing to a person-centred, inclusive environment and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or healthcare teams.
• Clear English communication written and spoken.
• Competent IT skills for recording and daily tasks.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training and development.

Responsibilities

• Assess, review and support planned needs to achieve outcomes.
• Deliver direct care including mobility and personal care.
• Facilitate group activities and individualised support.
• Maintain accurate records of care and support.
• Work with families, social workers and external organisations.
• Ensure health and safety policies and risk assessments.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.
