Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking care at home workers in the East Kilbride locality. The role offers permanent, full-time or part-time posts with rostered shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Applicants must have SVQ Level 2 in Social Care, with SVQ Level 3 or willingness to pursue it, and evidence of qualifications uploaded with the application. Salary is £18.34–£18.85 per hour with grade progression and potential increments.

Qualifications

• Must hold SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
• Must be able to demonstrate SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards it (minimum SVQ2 SCQF6).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to service users.
• Work flexible evening and weekend shifts according to roster.
• Be able to start morning shifts (7am–8am) or backshifts (9pm–11pm).
• Comply with PVG/DBS checks and provide evidence as part of the application process.
