Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust is recruiting a Cook for our Wing Village care home just outside Leighton Buzzard. You’ll join a friendly catering team to create meals for residents, focusing on nutrition and resident preferences. Some weekend work will be required, with a competitive hourly rate and training support.

You should have professional kitchen experience and a basic food hygiene certificate; Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional kitchen catering for specialist diets.
• Knowledge of producing meals for large groups.
• Desire to work as part of a catering team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents of the care home.
• Ensure meals meet dietary needs and preferences.
