Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is recruiting a Cook for our Marlborough-based care home. You’ll join our catering team to prepare delicious meals for residents, with a focus on nutrition and individual preferences.

This role involves 4x10 hour shifts per week, with some weekend work, and pays £13.62 per hour on weekdays and £14.02 on weekends. You’ll need professional kitchen experience, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and preferably a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen and catering for specialist diets.
• Ability to cook meals for large groups.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents in line with dietary needs.
• Assist in nutritional planning to ensure high-quality dining.
• Cook and serve meals with care and warmth for residents.
• Work 4x10 hour shifts per week, including alternate weekends.
