Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust is recruiting a Cook for Avonbourne Care Centre in Salisbury. You’ll join a friendly catering team to prepare delicious meals for residents, focusing on nutrition and individual preferences.

There is a 30-hour week with some weekend work, and you’ll be part of a team that values care, warmth and excellent service. Ideally you’ll have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and be working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking, though the latter is not

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen and catering for specialist diets.
• Experience catering for large groups of residents.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents in a care home setting.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional needs and personal preferences.
• Some weekend work will be required.
