Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant at Edwardstow Court, Stow-on-the-Wold. You will join a caring team to create meals and drinks for residents, learning their preferences to ensure mealtimes are highlights of each day.

No prior catering experience is required as training is provided, with Basic Food Hygiene beneficial. A positive, communicative approach and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• No prior catering experience required; training provided.
• Helpful but not essential: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Positive can-do attitude with good communication skills.
• Ability to engage with elderly residents and work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
• Get to know residents’ likes and dislikes to tailor mealtimes.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and cleanliness.
• Join a friendly catering team to deliver warm, compassionate service.
