Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in Grand Junction, Colorado. The role involves basic patient care, telemetry as needed, and potential duties as a Health Unit Coordinator. A Colorado CNA and BLS are required, along with good computer and communication skills.

The position offers part-time shifts, with day and night coverage, and benefits eligibility. You will work in the Rehab department at St.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in the state of Colorado.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care per instruction, including hygiene, comfort, and personal needs.
• Report patient data and changes in condition; seek qualified assistance as needed.
• May perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Transport medications to the RN on the unit.
• Collaborate with the RN and interdisciplinary team for optimal care.
• May act as Health Unit Coordinator: answer phones, transcribe orders, manage records and supplies.
• Implement plan of care as delegated and perform duties within Scope of Practice.
• Maintain safety by following policies and responding to emergencies.
