Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team at St. Mary’s Healthcare. The role involves assisting with basic patient care, reporting findings, and collaborating with registered nurses and other clinicians on the unit.

The position may also fulfill Health Unit Coordinator duties, including phones, orders, and unit records, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Evening/night shifts are available with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Colorado) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care and comfort measures.
• Report patient care findings and changes promptly.
• Perform telemetry duties and monitor patients as required.
• Transport medications to RN as needed on unit.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team for optimal care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities.
• Implement care plans as delegated.
• Perform duties within scope of practice and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe environment per safety policies.
