Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will support a multidisciplinary team and participate in the care plan from admission to discharge.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or apprenticeship or equivalent medical background. BLS certification is preferred, with potential apprenticeship pathways available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of one of the listed patient care programs or apprenticeship; or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on criteria appropriate to patient age.
• Ensure safe outcomes through judgment and actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and care team.
• Show initiative to improve performance and opportunities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
• Engage in PI activities.
