Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy object using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care related support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Documents appropriately into patient record charting based on skill level and follows established standards.
• Orientates new resident to the facility and unit; ensures resident receives an arm band and admission kit.
• Takes vital signs, records height/weight, and reports to Charge Nurse.
• Delivers rounds and responds to call lights promptly; assists with repositioning residents and patient transfers.
