Job summary

St Mary's Church of England Primary School Amersham is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1 and KS2. The role will involve one-to-one work and small group sessions and carries a minimum of 27 hours per week with lunch duties.

You will help with classroom routines, safeguarding, and contribute to a safe, Christian-inspired learning environment. The school values organisation, communication, and dedication to pupil welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children.
• Highly organized with good attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, tenacious and flexible.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of teachers.
• Attend to pupils' personal needs including health, safety and welfare matters.
• Prepare classrooms and display pupils' work, then clear away.
• Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing and filing.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and supervise a group.
• Undertake playground duties.
