Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is recruiting a Children’s Residential Support Worker for a home in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. You will support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, delivering a safe, nurturing environment and working closely with the care team to follow individual care plans.

This role involves shift work, potential sleep-ins, and maintaining high standards of record-keeping and safeguarding. A calm, patient, child-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a residential setting is desirable.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Promote a safe, caring and nurturing residential environment.
• Carry out welfare checks in line with care plans and risk assessments.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and emergencies.
• Provide emotional support, reassurance and positive role modelling.
• Maintain accurate daily records, reports and handovers.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers and external professionals.
• Deliver care in line with regulations and organisational policies.
