Job summary

Paragon Social Care recruiting Children's Support Workers across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire to join our team, delivering trauma-informed care in residential settings and community-based packages.

You will support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, build trusting relationships, maintain professional boundaries, and provide consistent support during difficult moments, while safeguarding and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Calm, resilient, and emotionally mature approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent, trauma-informed support to children and young people
• Build positive and professional relationships based on trust and respect
• Support daily routines, independence, education, and life skills development
• Encourage engagement in activities, hobbies, and healthy routines
• Support young people to attend appointments, education, and community activities
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and care planning
• Transport young people where required (own vehicle essential)
