Job summary

CareTech in Hartburn is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist children and young people in a residential setting. You will help with daily routines, meals, and activities while fostering a caring, secure home environment.

No prior care experience is required; transferable skills from retail, hospitality, customer service, education, sports coaching or community roles are welcomed. A full-time contract with induction and development is offered.

Qualifications

• You do not need previous care experience.
• Transferable skills from retail, hospitality, customer service, education, sports coaching or community roles are welcome.
• Experience in residential settings, mental health, autism, learning disabilities or SEN is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines: getting ready for school, meals, and activities.
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
• Build positive relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and take part in activities such as outdoor trips and creative sessions.
• Keep essential records and use electronic care recording systems; training provided.
