Job summary

Gloucester Charities Trust in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Care & Support Assistant for Magdalen House. The role involves assisting residents with daily living, helping maintain dignity and independence, and contributing to a warm, person-centred environment.

Hours are 36 per week with hourly pay starting at £13.80 (rising to £14.10 after training) plus £1 per hour on weekends. Benefits include a pension, DBS, training, and more.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, mobility, meals).
• Encourage independence and participation in activities.
• Maintain accurate records in line with policy and requirements.
• Support residents living with dementia and other age-related conditions.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention measures.
• After medication training, administer medication per policy.
