Job summary

Gloucester Charities Trust is seeking a Care & Support Assistant at Magdalen House. You will provide high-quality personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents to live with dignity and independence in a warm, person-centred environment.

After medication training, you will administer medications per policies. The role offers weekend enhancements and comprehensive training with development opportunities at Magdalen House in Gloucester.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.

• Encourage residents’ independence, choice, and participation in activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records in line with CQC and organisational requirements.
• Support residents living with dementia and other age-related conditions.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention measures.
• After medication training, administer medication in line with policies and processes.

Care and Support Assistant Days – Magdalen House

36 hours per week

£13.80 per hour, (increasing to £14.10 after medication training), plus £1.00 per hour at weekends

We are seeking a dedicated Care & Support Assistant to join our friendly team in our well-established residential care home for older people, Magdalen House. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting older adults to live with dignity, independence, and wellbeing in a warm and person-centred environment.

About the Role

As a Care & Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities, including dressing, bathing, mobility, and mealtimes.
