Job summary

Gloucester Charities Trust is seeking a Care and Support Assistant Nights to provide compassionate care for residents in Magdalen House. The role runs 8pm–8am for 36 hours per week, including every other weekend, with pay rising to £13.00 after meds training and an additional £1.00 per hour at weekends.

The home supports 29 beds for older people and emphasises resident health, wellbeing and ongoing development for staff. NVQ/QCF 2 or Care Certificate preferred; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in elderly care at night is preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate care during night shifts.
• NVQ/QCF 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate held.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to residents during night shifts.
• Assist with daily living activities while ensuring safety.
• Maintain clean, comfortable environment and document care provided.

Care and Support Assistant Nights– £12.74 per hour (increasing to £13.00 after meds training), plus £1.00 per hour at weekends.

8pm to 8am, includes every other weekend.

Magdalen House (our 29-bed home) is a beautifully presented Residential Care Home for older people. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced carer who believes delivering resident health and wellbeing is the highest priority.

The job will suit candidates who are skilled and compassionate,are empathetic to the needs of older people, and looking for ongoing development.

Those holding a minimum of NVQ/QCF 2 in Health and Social Care, or the Care Certificate are encouraged to apply.
