Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a Domestic Assistant to contribute to a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents. You will perform cleaning tasks across the home and help uphold infection control standards to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff.

The role requires engagement with a caring, respectful approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Shifts include some weekend work, with a supportive team environment and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and proud of your work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Careful and respectful approach towards older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
• Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.
