Job summary

Aurem Care is looking for a dedicated Domestic Assistant to keep our care home clean, hygienic and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff. You will help ensure a comfortable, safe and homely environment every day.

With experience in housekeeping, you will follow infection control procedures, COSHH rules and use PPE correctly, while supporting the team and respecting residents’ dignity and privacy. 35 hours per week, 8:00am–3:00pm, with weekend rota and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning.
• Reliable and hardworking with pride in work.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently.
• Caring and respectful approach towards older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the home.
• Ensure cleaning equipment used safely and stored correctly.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
• Use PPE appropriately at all times.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and needs.
• Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain storage areas.
• Support wider housekeeping team with additional duties.
