Job summary

Hafod Housing Association Limited in Cardiff is seeking a kind and reliable Care Assistant to support Gwynfa residents with daily living, personal care, meals and wellbeing activities. You’ll help maintain independence and dignity in a warm, supportive home.

This part-time role is 23 hours per week across 1 day shift and 1 night shift. No previous care experience is required; a QCF in Health and Social Care may be provided, with DBS checks organised and paid for.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and practical support to residents with daily living activities, mobility and personal care.
• Build trusting relationships and offer emotional support to help residents feel safe and valued.
• Encourage independence and involvement in activities that matter to residents.
• Digitally monitor and record care needs per care plans, reporting concerns and keeping colleagues informed.
• Work as part of a team following Hafod’s standards, policies and safeguarding responsibilities.
