Job summary

HC-One is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our teams across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes in the Gateshead area. You will work under a Registered Nurse to support residents’ personal care, daily activities, and emotional wellbeing with dignity and compassion.

You’ll be involved in safeguarding and ongoing training, with opportunities to develop professionally while benefiting from a supportive workplace and clear career pathways.

Qualifications

• Able to support residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, hygiene and meals.
• Safeguarding training is required and ongoing.
• Commitment to residents' wellbeing and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Support physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care.
• Provide comfort and companionship, including end-of-life care when needed.
