Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes in York are seeking a warm and compassionate Care Assistant to join the team at Ebor Court. This permanent full-time role involves helping residents with daily living, promoting dignity and independence, and supporting social activities within the Home.

We welcome enthusiastic individuals with a caring nature who can work some evenings and weekends. Sponsorship is not currently available, but progression opportunities are highlighted in our friendly, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates warmth, compassion and a people-centred approach.
• Experience or interest in caring for older adults and supporting daily living tasks.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living activities.
• Assist with mobility, dignity and comfort while observing residents’ needs.
• Monitor residents and communicate any concerns to senior staff.
• Record daily care notes and contribute to care planning.
• Engage residents in activities and maintain a welcoming home environment.
