Bridge Oak Care Homes in Huddersfield is seeking a warm and compassionate Care Assistant for The Denby. This permanent, full‑time role offers 22 hours per week with alternate weekends, supporting residents with daily living and contributing to a home that is welcoming and dignified.

You will assist with personal care, monitor wellbeing, document daily records and help residents participate in activities, in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities (washing, toileting, dressing).
• Assist residents with mobility and emotional needs while maintaining dignity.
• Monitor and support residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Assist in continence promotion and end-of-life care as appropriate.
• Record care notes daily and follow care plans and home policies.
• Engage residents in activities and social events to promote wellbeing.
• Answer nurse calls and pass on messages; respond to doors/phones promptly.
• Keep rooms and equipment clean and tidy according to policy.
