Dignity Funeral Directors, part of Life Services Group, is seeking a Branch Manager in Glasgow to lead funeral operations, develop the team and build strong local partnerships with a focus on delivering services with dignity and care.

Internally, the role carries the title Senior Funeral Director, reflecting senior leadership within the business. You will oversee performance, compliance and client outcomes while supporting the Cluster Manager in achieving objectives.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in funeral services or similar.
• Ability to manage compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent people skills and empathy.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office and Outlook.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and on-call.

Responsabilités

• Deliver and oversee complex funeral arrangements ensuring client wishes are reflected and respected.
• Oversee branch standards and ensure high-quality care of the deceased.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (nights/weekends) to support families.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and ongoing performance reviews with regular 121s.
• Ensure back-of-house teams have responsibilities and coordinate scheduling and service delivery.
• Support the Cluster Manager in audits and compliance processes.
• Identify service gaps and drive improvements to processes and training.
• Take responsibility for ensuring funeral plan banks are replenished.
• Ensure all team members are Funeral Plan Consultants (FPC) trained.
