Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker for Rosendale in Lydstep, Pembrokeshire. The role offers day and night shifts at a rate of £13.45 to £13.75 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Located near the sea with a calm living environment for adults with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, person-centred support, helping residents participate in activities and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• A compassionate and caring nature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilience and patience when faced with challenges.
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' physical and emotional needs are met in a supportive environment.
• Support residents during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and confidence, and celebrate achievements.
• Collaborate to tailor support to individual needs; keep accurate records of activities, progress and incidents.
