Job summary

Priority, part of Orbis Education & Care, is hiring a Support Worker for our 4-bedroom home near Bridgend in Wales. You will support adults with complex needs, help develop life skills and promote independence in a warm, nurturing setting.

No prior care experience is required; training is provided. This full-time role includes a rolling two-week rota with wake and sleep night shifts and a strong focus on person-centred support.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do mindset.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and waking nights as part of a rota.
• A full UK driving licence (due to our peaceful rural location).
• A willingness to learn — full training is provided!

Responsibilities

• Supporting adults with daily needs to ensure emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
• Building trusting relationships so each person feels safe and understood.
• Encouraging independence and helping people develop essential life skills.
• Supporting activities at home, during education programmes, or out in the community.
• Maintaining accurate records of progress, activities and incidents.
• Helping with day-to-day household tasks like cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.
