Job summary

Peakirk-cum-Glinton CE Primary School in Cambridgeshire seeks a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with high needs. The role is 25 hours per week, five days, term-time, fixed-term to 31 August 2027. It offers a caring village setting with a Christian ethos and strong community ties.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo, providing tailored support to help the pupil thrive in an inclusive environment and uphold safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Experience of early years and the early years curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs, in line with their EHCP
• Supporting learning, communication, and social development
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
• Contributing to a nurturing and structured learning environment
• Communicating with families
